We did not solve everything that evening. Some decisions require time, patience, and professional guidance. What changed was my understanding of myself. I realized that I could care about my husband, love my daughter, and still recognize that my own voice mattered. I could choose to work, maintain my independence, and ask difficult questions without feeling guilty.
A few weeks later, I returned to work. My days were still busy, and life with a young child remained unpredictable, but something inside me felt different. I began making small lists that included more than household responsibilities. I wrote down things I wanted to accomplish, places I wanted to go, and goals I had postponed.
